What is Indemnity limit?

In short

The most an insurer will pay on a claim, and the cap that decides whether a bill is fully covered.

An indemnity limit is the highest amount an insurer will pay for a claim, and it acts as a ceiling on the cover you buy. Anything above the limit stays with you. Providers set different ceilings: AXA offers £5,000,000 and AXA Business Insurance £5,000,000, while Hiscox lists £10,000,000, above Coverdrone at £1,000,000 and ERGO NEXT at $1,000,000. The higher the limit, the more of a large bill the insurer settles.
