What is Cover limit?
In short
The most a policy will pay out on a claim, set per policy type rather than as one figure for everything.
A cover limit is the ceiling on what an insurer pays for a covered claim. What it applies to depends on the policy: overseas emergency medical and hospital costs for travel, veterinary treatment for pets, or the sum assured on a life policy. 1Cover shows an open-ended approach, with unlimited overseas emergency medical and hospital expenses on its travel plans. Absa lists R6,000,000 on instant life, while AA Breakdown caps Parts and Garage Cover at GBP 535 per claim for Parts and Garage Cover. Check the limit that matches the cover you are buying, not the headline figure.
